Every analytical claim is tied to a primary source — a bill, a dataset, a court ruling, a public statement. Where a piece relies on interviews, we name the method and the limit.
Every significant correction is published at the top of the article, dated, and visible to subscribers and non-subscribers alike. Our correction log is itself a public page.
We write for the curious citizen, not the insider. Jargon is defined at first use; institutional acronyms are unpacked; numbers are accompanied by a sense of scale.
Every Politanalyse text goes through the same five-stage pipeline. The goal is not speed — it is durable work that still reads well six months after publication.
The editorial board triages a current event and asks: is this analytically tractable, and is it under-served by the existing press?
The author assembles primary documents, datasets and on-record interviews, and circulates a public-source dossier to the editor.
The piece is written to a fixed structure: stakes, evidence, counter-argument, outlook. Length follows the question, not the other way around.
A second editor reads for sourcing, structure, and intellectual honesty. Every claim is checked against the dossier. A fact-checker signs off.
The article is published with a metadata card (method, sources, conflicts disclosed). A 30-day review window begins, and corrections are public.
